1-1/4 yds. of Polarfleece (at
least 60" wide; the thicker the fabric, the larger the finished
KinderKake will be) |
| Cut: |
Two rectangles, each about 30"
x 45" (simply cut your piece of fabric in half along the
fold line, then trim off the selvages) |
| Finish: |
(cut a 1" strip of fabric
from one or both rectangles to test edge finishes, if desired)
Option 1--Use a mug or plate to round the corners
of each blanket; serge-finish edges using a decorative thread
(e.g., pearl cotton, ribbon floss, rayon) with a rolled-hem stitch,
a mock- blanket stitch, or a three-thread edge stitch; alternately,
hand-finish the edges using a blanket stitch or a rolled hem. |

Option 2 (no-sew
option)--Since
Polarfleece doesn't ravel, simply cut the
edges nice and straight. Round the corners
or not, as you prefer.
To assemble, follow pattern directions
for a "One Layer Pastel KinderKake."
